I've been chasing this one for a few weeks, so let me back into it.
While I was putting together this week's TWIP, I had a section going on some rumors out of the 2026 Licensing Expo in Las Vegas. One came from a YouTuber's floor walkthrough, in which he stopped by the Capcom booth and asked the reps about the rumored World Pinball Resident Evil machine. Their answer was a flat denial. Resident Evil is almost impossible to license for anything, they told him, because the creator of the games won't allow it. The idea that someone is making a Resident Evil pinball is false information. There is no Resident Evil pinball machine.
Surprise, right? I mean, we'd been writing about this machine for months, and I'd had extensive back-and-forth with the person spearheading the project. Had we been duped?
